Our second season concert is the annual Red Dress Concert. The concert will open with Carl Maria von Weber’s “Overture to Oberon.” Following the Weber we will feature our bassoon section, Thomas Priest and Luke Pfeil, in a performance of “Full Faith and Credit for Two Bassoons and String Orchestra” by Harold Meltzer and follow this with the 3rd movement of Franz Joseph Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto in E-flat with principal trumpet David Bertram. Rounding out the program will be the exciting and passionate 1st suite from Sergei Prokofiev's ballet Romeo and Juliet.
